A decorative refresh — modern yet homely for a young, busy family of four.
Attention was given to the remodelling of the kitchen, introducing curved silhouettes on the chunky island base and juxtaposing cool Taj Mahal Quartzite with rich, chocolatey timber. Under-counter stools invite casual congregating. Confronted with austere finishes, the design team spun some magic by softening the harshness with textural materiality, introducing repetitive fluting on the rangehood and the fireplace surround.
The living room is outfitted with a generous Poliform sofa, ensuring ample space for everyone to enjoy. In the heart of the home, these sophisticated yet comfortable areas regularly hum with the energy of friends and family.
To channel a serene and tranquil environment, a pale, muted colour palette was adopted, ensuring nothing would detract from the elegant tree trunks and lush vegetation of the garden canopy. The bespoke and superbly crafted timber fluting continues in the bathroom vanities, providing a touch of texture against the otherwise smooth, creamy stone.
The outcome is a timeless, future-proof home that the clients can enjoy for years to come.
